Alloy 3105
versatile aluminium alloy
An important alloy with 98% aluminium and smaller additions of other elements, 3105 has better strength than 3003, and also features good corrosion resistance, workability and formability. It is hardened by cold treatment.
Manganese and Magnesium are the two-alloying element of the 3105 series. These alloys generally are non-heat-treatable but have about 20% more strength than 1xxx series alloys. Because only a limited percentage of manganese (up to about 0.8%) can be effectively added to Aluminium, manganese (Max 0.8%) & magnesium (Max 0.8%) are used as a major element in only a few alloys.

Where is alloy 3105 used?
